City of Picayune & Picayune Main Street Event

Start the morning at 7a.m. with Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast at Southern Char Steakhouse 210 West Canal Street

Santa & MS Claus will arrive by Picayune Fire Truck on S. Main Street @ 5pm & board their awaiting sleigh. Children can share their Christmas wishes with Santa & MS Claus. Have your cameras ready for a quick photo.

The Famous Grinch from Whoville will make an appearance at 111 North Main Street.

Locally Owned Downtown Shops will be decorated and stocked with gift ideas for everyone on your Christmas Shopping list. Sidewalks in Downtown Picayune will be lined with luminaries greeting shoppers

Toy Train Ride, 2 Hay Rides and Old Timey Stage Coach Rides will have 3 stops- (1) West Canal & Quince Street (2) Train Depot 200 Hwy 11 (3) East Canal & Curran Street

Senior Center Choir Singing Christmas Carols by The Clock on S. Main & W. Canal

Entertainment – Intermodal & Tourist Center Include… Pearl String Dulcimer, Bethany Berryman, Averi Barnes & Pearl River Community Band Ensemble; Carolers Becky Highnote,Tara Poolson & Caitlin Palmer.

The following streets have been approved to allow setup up for this free family Christmas event in Downtown Picayune. Please make sure your customers are aware of the street closings and their vehicles or your personal vehicles are not parked on the streets listed below:

On West Canal Street from Main to Quince

On East Canal Street from Rail Road Track to Haugh Avenue

Hwy 11 From Mitchell Street to 2nd Street

Goodyear Boulevard- From Quince to Pine Street

Tate Street Will be Closed to Haugh Street for Hay Ride & Train Ride
