Picayune Main Street is delighted to announce the renewal of this partnership opportunity to beautify Downtown Picayune's Designated Historic District and promote local small business owners while increasing visitor traffic to the area.
The facade program is intended to support growth and revitalization of existing commercial properties in Picayune Main Street’s Downtown Designated District. The 80/20 grant program will facilitate business owners' efforts to restore, improve, or create architectural features for facades of commercial buildings in the designated area.
With $52,500.00 in funding allocated, the Picayune Main Street Economic Vitality Team will disburse funds in accordance with established application guidelines. Eligible activities comprise pressure cleaning, painting, brickwork repair, lighting, awnings and canopies, signage, replacement of doors and windows, ironwork, and original architectural features. To be eligible, applicants must be situated within the Picayune Main Street District and hold current membership or affiliation with Picayune Main Street; the property must also be up to date on all city and county taxes and building codes.
The application process opens to the public January 20, 2026 and will close on February 16, 2026.
To be considered, all applications must include required information, photos, and quotes. Incomplete applications—those missing required paperwork, photos, or quotes—will not be reviewed. Interested businesses can request the guidelines via email info@picayunemainstreet.com.
Applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. on February 16, 2026, to be considered for the 2026 facade grant program.
